Booming stock markets mean the world’s 0.25 million super-rich now possess wealth of $31.5 trillion

This is almost double the GDP of the USA. UHNWIs (defined as those with >$30m assets) increased by 12.9% last year, to a record 255,810. So finds the Wealth-X World Ultra Wealth 2018 report.

So inequality grows yet further. Populism grows with it, because of the social unrest the inequality feeds. And liberal democracy becomes further undermined.
