Record breaking renewables: 30th April 2017
Sunday 30th April 2017 is seeing record amounts of low carbon generation in Great Britain.
At 1030 am, 74% of electricity supplied was from low carbon sources. Renewables (wind, solar and hydro) were providing the bulk of the power.
The amount of carbon generated per kWh electricity fell below 125gCO2/kWh
