SEC, under Trump-appointee chairman, drops investigation of ExxonMobil climate-risk reporting

Surprise, no. Disappointment, yes. The investigation was launched in January 2016. At the time, many climate activists like me thought they were on the ropes, potentially facing charges of securities fraud.
