UK local government pension funds invest £9bn in fracking companies ….including Lancashire County

The FT reports on research compiled by Platform London, 350 and Friends of the Earth.

Lancashire County Pension Fund have no comment. Dumfries and Galloway Council (in Scotland, where fracking is banned indefinitely): “non-financial factors should not drive the investment process at the cost of financial return.”

Given the evidence in America of financial risk, and everything coming out of the Financial Stability Board’s Taskforce on Climate-related Financial Disclosure, at what point do the trustees of these funds become liable to lawsuits for breach of fiduciary responsibility?
