UK NIC urges HMG to grab the ‘golden opportunity’ to ditch nuclear and go with cheaper solar and wind

This in the UK’s first ever National Infrastructure Assessment: at least half UK power should be renewable by 2030, & can be at no extra cost.

So now they have all key relevant advisors/regulators urging them to go green: the Climate Change Committee, Ofgem, and now the National Infrastructure Committee. Were they not so preoccupied with Brexit, might they have turned by now?
